After ten minutes’ suitable roleplay – poking around the backs of tents or miming picking pockets in crowded spaces – the player may go to the Game Organisation Desk to declare they have been scrounging and draw a ball from a bag, to determine how many items they receive.

A result of a “black ball” triggers a dangerous consequence, including being caught by a mark or accosted by a public official.
